Exporting and Sharing Reports

Firefly allows exporting analytics data or screenshots of graphs. To formally document compliance to auditors or report to executives, you might:

  • Export the list of all current policy violations (to show what's being tracked and addressed)

  • Export inventory data (for asset registers)

  • Schedule a regular email report: some platforms send a weekly summary email ("This week: X new assets, Y drift fixed, Z violations open")

If Firefly doesn't have a built-in email report, one can use the API to gather metrics and generate a custom report.

Best Practice: Create a monthly Firefly report that includes:

  • Key metrics (coverage, compliance rate, cost saved)

  • Notable changes (like "20 new assets onboarded, all codified via Firefly" or "2 new policies added to address emerging requirements")

  • Areas of concern (any metric going the wrong way)

This keeps leadership informed and the team accountable.
