  1. Key Features

AI Assistant

Firefly incorporates an AI Assistant, affectionately called your "AI agent for CloudOps," which brings conversational intelligence to cloud management. This powerful feature allows you to interact with your cloud infrastructure using natural language queries.

Natural Language Queries

The AI Assistant allows you to ask questions in plain English about your cloud and get instant answers. This is incredibly useful for quick insights or troubleshooting without digging through consoles and dashboards. The AI is context-aware – it knows about your cloud inventory, configurations, and even recent events.

Example Queries

You can ask questions like:

  • "How many EC2 instances do we have running in region us-west-2?"

  • "Which resources are currently out of compliance?"

  • "Show me any cost anomalies this week"

  • "Do we have any unmanaged S3 buckets with public access?"

The assistant will parse your question, run the necessary searches or analysis in Firefly, and respond with a concise answer.

Intelligent Features

The AI Assistant leverages advanced language models but is tailored to your environment's data, meaning responses are relevant and specific. It also learns from your usage: over time, it can improve recommendations or anticipate what information you might need, offering a form of proactive intelligence.

For example, it might proactively alert: "Noticed an unusually high number of resources were created in the last 24 hours in dev – do you want to review them?" This kind of insight helps catch irregularities early.
